Emma LeBlanc, Au.D., Reg. CASLPO
MANAGER & AUDIOLOGIST
Emma holds a Doctor of Audiology degree from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. She has a diverse array of interests in audiology which include adult and pediatric aural rehabilitation as well as balance disorders. She gained extensive experience in diagnostic testing, prescribing and fitting the latest hearing aid technology through her work in both Canada and the US. Emma is committed to using the full range of her expertise and abilities to provide the best quality of care to each patient.
Known for her problem-solving skills, Emma is a natural “MacGyver” who comes up with creative, out-of-the-box solutions to complex challenges. Her hands-on experience with the latest hearing aid technology, along with her deep understanding of diagnostic testing and treatment, makes her a valuable resource for both her patients and the clinic.
Her expertise has even led to her being featured on the CBC podcast "The Dose" and the Zoomer, sharing her insights with a broader audience. Emma is deeply committed to using her wide-ranging knowledge to provide the best possible care, tailored to each patient’s needs.
Lauren Steckle, M.Cl.Sc., Reg. CASLPO
AUDIOLOGIST
Lauren earned her Master’s degree in Audiology from Western University and has a special interest in amplification and tinnitus treatment. With extensive knowledge and hands-on experience, she’s passionate about using her expertise to help patients improve their hearing and overall quality of life.
Lauren is always ready to lend a hand—sometimes quite literally, in the form of a friendly arm wrestling match (she’s our reigning champion!). Her easygoing nature and team-first attitude make her a supportive and dependable presence in the clinic.
Above all, Lauren is committed to making her patients feel heard, supported, and empowered. She pours her heart into finding personalized solutions, and her dedication shines through in everything she does.
Sandra Sinayuk, M.Cl.Sc., Reg. CASLPO
AUDIOLOGIST
Sandra earned her Masters of Clinical Science degree in Audiology from the University of Western Ontario and brings a well-rounded skill-set to the clinic. From hearing aids and diagnostic testing to vestibular rehabilitation, she’s experienced in all areas of audiology and approaches each case with care, precision, and expertise.
Don’t let her thoughtful and unassuming nature fool you—Sandra has razor-sharp knowledge and a quick mind that makes her a go-to resource for both patients and colleagues. She’s also known for her quirky sense of humor, and her fun, approachable style helps patients feel comfortable and supported from the start.
Outside of the clinic, Sandra follows a plant-based lifestyle and has been known to treat the team to her delicious homemade snacks. Smart, kind, and quietly hilarious, Sandra is an important part of what makes our clinic feel like home.
Manpreet Sandhu, Au.D., Reg. CASLPO
Manpreet is a Doctor of Audiology graduate from NSU Florida who became a familiar face to our patients initially because she completed her Externship at our clinic. We are thrilled that she decided to stay on with us after finishing her studies!
Manpreet has a keen interest in diagnostic audiology, hearing aid fittings and verification, and vestibular disorders. Manpreet is known for her sharp attention to detail and her commitment to finding the best possible solutions for every patient. It’s no surprise she received the award for Academic Excellence at her graduation - she brings that same dedication and drive to everything she does.
Vysnavi Jeyasiri, M.Sc., Reg. CASLPO
Vysnavi is a graduate of the Audiology program at the University of British Columbia, and from the very beginning, she stood out for her warmth, intelligence, and steady presence. Formerly a student clinician with us, she impressed everyone with how quickly she adapted to new clinical challenges and how effortlessly she picked up new skills.
She brings strong knowledge in both audiology and vestibular diagnostics, along with a genuine passion for hearing aid rehabilitation. Patients especially appreciate her calm, reassuring manner: she has a gift for staying cool under pressure and helping others feel at ease, even in the most complex situations. Curious, dedicated, and naturally talented, Vysnavi is a wonderful addition to the team and a trusted guide for patients on their hearing and balance journey.
John Allen, M.Sc., Reg. CASLPO
John is a graduate of the Audiology program at Dalhousie University and brings a unique perspective to patient care as a trained musician with an exceptionally keen ear. His musical background gives him a deep appreciation for sound quality, nuance, and clarity, something his patients quickly recognize and value.
With a strong foundation in diagnostic audiology and hearing aid technology, John is particularly attuned to the fine details that make hearing feel natural and effortless. He understands that hearing is not just about volume, but about richness, balance, and connection, whether it is enjoying conversation, music, or the subtle sounds of everyday life.
Thoughtful, precise, and genuinely invested in his patients’ outcomes, John is passionate about helping each person achieve the best possible hearing experience.
Cathy Vandergeest
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
If you don't already know Cathy, you will soon! Cathy brings a wealth of experience and deep knowledge to her role as one of the most senior administrative team member at the Munk Hearing Centre. Having previously worked at our sister clinic, the Centre for Advanced Hearing and Balance Testing, Cathy knows all of the ins and outs of what it takes to keep things running smoothly, and she does it all with care and a smile.
Though some of her work is now behind the scenes, Cathy is still very much at the heart of our clinic. She’s the friendly face behind many of our emails and the creative force behind our beautiful graphic design - yes, she’s also a talented designer!
Known for her thoughtful nature, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to helping others, Cathy makes sure every patient feels cared for, even from afar. She also keeps staff morale high as the head of our unofficial Fun Committee. Simply put, Cathy keeps everything (and everyone) connected.
Hella Banacia

Hella is the friendly and reassuring voice you’ll often hear when you call our clinic, and the steady presence behind a seamless patient experience from the very first interaction. As an accomplished administrative professional, she expertly manages the front desk with efficiency, organization, and genuine warmth.
Hella has developed strong expertise in navigating the moving parts of a busy audiology practice. From coordinating complex schedules and handling insurance questions to resolving unexpected challenges, she approaches every situation with confidence and determination. She is highly resourceful and committed to finding solutions. If there is an answer, Hella will uncover it. No detail is overlooked and no concern goes unanswered.
Full of personality and quick wit, Hella brings a refreshing energy to the clinic. She has a natural ability to put patients at ease while maintaining the highest level of professionalism. She is also our go to expert for technology troubleshooting, especially when it comes to Bluetooth connectivity, guiding patients patiently until everything works perfectly.
Hella truly cares about the people she serves, and her dedication and positivity make every visit a little brighter.

Alex Mujica is an integral member of our front-office team and a true expert at keeping the clinic running seamlessly and efficiently. With impressive speed, organization, and follow-through, she ensures that schedules stay on track, patients are supported promptly, and the day flows smoothly from start to finish.
Patients appreciate Alex’s calm, capable presence and her ability to anticipate needs before they arise. She navigates even the busiest days with confidence and grace, creating a streamlined and welcoming experience from the moment someone walks through our doors.
Committed to continuous growth, Alex has also taken the initiative to learn sign language, reflecting her dedication to accessibility and meaningful communication. THE MUNK DIFFERENCE
The Munk Hearing Centre, located at Toronto General Hospital andUptown at Yonge & Lawrence, is the first and only full-service hearing aid dispensary for the University Health Network (UHN). We work closely with the Hearing and Balance Centre and the Department of Otolaryngology to address the hearing health care needs of our patients. All of our audiologists are registered with CASLPO and can recommend specific hearing solutions for every patient based on their individual needs.
