There are a number of programs and subsidies available to help offset the cost of hearing aids and assistive devices. We can help you to identify programs that you may be eligible for.

 

If you think you might be eligible for funding, please mention it at the time of booking so we can help you to identify any paperwork you might need to bring with you.

Below, you will find a list of funding sources available in Ontario:

Assistive devices program (Adp)


The Assistive Devices Program through the Ontario Ministry of Health offers a grant that pays a portion of the cost of hearing aids for residents of Ontario who are eligible (usually every 5 years).

We will provide you with the ADP paperwork at the time of your fitting and will submit it on your behalf. At the time of your fitting, we will also deduct the portion of the hearing aid cost that we anticipate will be paid by ADP so that you don't have to wait to receive reimbursement.

Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) 


If you already have coverage for hearing aids through the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), we can help you to get started with hearing aids and we are set-up to bill WSIB directly for your services. 

If you suspect that you may have hearing loss as a result of working in a noisy environment, we recommend that you start with a hearing assessment - be sure to mention your history of noise exposure to the audiologist. If the pattern of hearing loss is consistent with noise-induced hearing loss, we can help to guide you through the process of making a hearing loss claim.

veterans affairs canada (VAC)


We work with patients who are veterans and have experience working with Veterans Affairs Canada. Whether you have coverage already or are looking to find out what you are eligible for, we can help. 

Social assistance


Those who receive income support through one of the two social assistance programs in Ontario - Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) and Ontario Works (OW) - may be eligible for help with the cost of hearing aids. 

Please visit your local office for approval before you purchase hearing aids.

UHN Employee discount

As a special thank you to UHN employees, we offer a 25% discount off of dispensing services for those who can present a valid UHN ID badge.
